It happened
The new job is with a Non-profit company called Centro Hispano. I will be guiding teens through a health promotion program to teach them how to lead healthier, and better lives. I am looking forward to it, and mostly am looking forward to using that degree.
Now on to more important matters. I'm finally turning semi-domestic. The past few years I have seen all my friends get into cooking, sewing, crafting, pintrest etc. I never realized my lack of interest in these areas until I was at my sisters house last year. She invited me to a craft night with some of our friends. While they were caught up in the 'crafting' I snuck up stairs to take a nap. She quickly came in, turned on the light and said " I knew you would do this". It was then I realized that I was the odd one out.
In the past month though ( on my own free will ), I have : spray painted furniture, decorated my room, COOKED TWICE, and picked out a few crafts to do. Weird I know, but it just happened. The point of this is, I want to be re-invited into your crafting circles. I'm into it now, into grown up things.
I actually don't have pintrest..... one step at a time.

although i am semi-ANGRY this is how i found out about your new job, that's so great! i'm so proud of you! i could take advantage of that, but from the name of it...is it for Hispanics only?
AND-everything that you did this month, I DID THIS MONTH!!! for real! spray painted furniture, cooked, decorated ONLY my room in our new place, and have ran a couple crafts throug my mind. i have yet to do them, but still.
AND-i don't have pinterest.
all of the freaky similarities make me feel a little better about the fact that you are so hard to reach telephonically (new word). -

I think not being in school gives us time to be domesticated. I'd love to craft it up with you ANYTIME! Especially so we can celebrate your new job!!

Natalie Lewis! I loved the "I cooked TWICE!" part. Sounds like me. I'm lucky to be able to flip an egg without breaking the yolk or undercooking that sick white goo in the middle. And even more lucky if I can make a pancake without the outside being burnt and the inside being all pasty. Sick. Good thing my husband is like Betty Crocker or we'd all starve around this joint. P.S. I don't have Pintrest either. I kinda don't get it. There are more "not-so-crafty" women that you realize! Let's start a club! Love ya!
